On The Threshold

On the Threshold is a piece for three performers: dancers Amit Zaretsky and Ella Gil, and performer and stand-up comedian Adi Helman.

Led by the choreographer May Zarhy and accompanied by original music by Daniella Ljungsberg, they insist on trying to define what human experience is, how it is intrinsically linked to movement, and why it is especially essential at this very moment in time.
At the center of the work is the connection between movement and words, what happens when words run out and no longer have meaning, and what happens when dance itself seems to have no purpose.
Through Zarhy's research in recent years on the relation between movement and memory, and the repetition of situations and gestures, they observe the trembling present and question what is human through the medium of dance itself.
