Y

2008

Y is a communicative, performative reflection on what a theatrical work can be from a choreographer's point of vie. The piece was born from a desire to reveal what lies behind the choreographic process, the composition, and the visible form. In this solo piece, the performer stands in front of the audience asking questions, guiding them through the intellectual, the sensory, and the imaginary, proposing a poetic field of possible scenarios. Y is a one-way conversation or a monologue in which language takes the place of theatrical effects and becomes both form and content.
